Want smoother firmer skin?
Also known as collagen induction therapy (CIT) and percutaneous collagen induction (PCI), it is a gentle, minimally invasive approach to skin improvement.
How does it work?
Microneedling uses tiny needles to produce micro-perforations on the skin surface. This stimulates the skin’s natural ability to heal itself and in the process produces new collagen and elastin, two proteins essential to strength, firmness, and shape. A specialized growth factor serum helps with healing, generating better and longer-lasting results.
Microneedling is effective on its own and can also be used in combination with other procedures as part of an overall skin rejuvenation plan.

Please talk to the doctor or specialist if you have any questions about it.
When can I expect to see results?
Shortly after your first treatment your skin will begin to glow. It takes longer to see changes resulting from the boosted collagen and elastin. It’s very individual. Come in for a free consultation to find out what you personally can expect to see.
Does it hurt?
A numbing agent is smoothed over your skin 20 to 30 minutes prior to treatment.
What can I expect after the procedure?
You may experience a few hours of redness or mild swelling. We send you home with a hydrating serum to soothe the area. During the next 24 hours, avoid activity that’s in direct sunlight or causes you to sweat. Your skin may feel dry and tight for a few days. Some peeling or flaking of skin is normal.
How long is a single treatment?
Plan for an hour although it may take less time.
How many and how often?
Glow recommends a six month program, depending on your goal and desired results. Four to 6 weeks should pass between each treatment. If you had a BBL or Halo, it is recommended to wait 1 month before micro-needling the area. Ultimately the required number of treatments is unique to each patient.
Is there any reason to avoid micro-needling?
Micro-needling works on all skin types. The only reason to avoid it might be if you have active acne, lesions, psoriasis, or unique skin sensitivities. This is a topic to discuss with your Glow specialist.
