How is the Halo Laser Different?
The Halo is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser. It simultaneously delivers non-ablative and ablative wavelengths in a single pass over the skin.
An ablative laser has long been considered one of the most effective treatments for improving the signs of aging. By removing the outer layers of damaged skin, the skin is forced to increase collagen production and restructure itself, making way for tighter, rejuvenated skin. The downfall of an ablative laser is the recovery time, often 1 to 2 weeks.
A non-ablative laser treatment is far less invasive with little-to-no downtime. By heating up the outer layers of skin without removing them, a non-ablative treatment is popular with clients who need to return to their everyday lives right away. The downfall of a non-ablative laser is that a series of several treatments are needed to achieve desired results.
Halo focuses energy on the deeper collagen layer of skin, leaving the surface largely intact. This speeds up the healing process. Halo delivers the results of an ablative procedure with little downtime, similar to a non-ablative treatment. The best of both worlds!
Because everyone’s skin and needs differ, Halo allows us to customize a treatment to fit your lifestyle. Need to be back at work tomorrow? A light treatment creates smooth, vibrant skin that’s ready for makeup the next day. Want to WOW them? A more intense treatment will give your skin that youthful glow with just a few days of downtime.

FAQ
What results can I expect?
What happens during the treatment?
Thirty minutes to an hour before the procedure, we’ll smooth a topical anesthetic on your skin to reduce the sensation. The area will be measured with motion tracking technology to ensure even treatment. We’ll then treat each measured section by uniformly rolling the Halo hand piece over the skin until the system recognizes completion.
How many treatments will I need?
What’s great about Halo is that you can choose how many treatments you want! Discuss your needs and choose to have one or two aggressive treatments or multiple less-aggressive treatments to achieve a similar goal over a longer period of time.
How long will my results last?
Your Halo results will last for years to come but you should continue to keep your skin protected at all times using UV sunscreen. Each additional Halo treatment you receive will improve the results, giving you even better looking skin.
How soon after my treatment can I return to normal activities?
For the first 24 hours you should keep your skin protected. After the first 24 hours your skin will begin to peel but you’ll be able to wear makeup. With a facial treatment you’ll see very little change on the first day. After two or three days you’ll develop a light bronzing appearance. By day three or four your skin will peel, revealing new skin beneath.
When will I see results?
You’ll see initial results between two and five days after the procedure but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest pigmentary improvement in the first two to three weeks. This is followed by a dermal regeneration phase that continues to improve for months.
What does a Halo treatment feel like?
With a topical anesthetic and integrated cooling technology, most clients experience very little discomfort. They describe the treatment as an easily tolerated feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations. After the procedure, most clients continue to feel warm for an additional 15 to 30 minutes, or a bit longer with deeper treatment levels.
How much does a Halo treatment cost?
Every Halo treatment is customized for your skin and lifestyle. Depending on your needs, we may recommend a single treatment or a series. Please call or email to discuss options during a free complimentary appointment.
